But there is something more to it that you can't ignore. In a study published in Archives of Dermatology 2002, strong evidences has been found about certain kind of foods triggers acne breakout.
Chocolates, breads, burgers and other refined grains contained refined carbs hence are categorized as “A diet with a high glycemic index – These food are quickly broken down into sugar. To control the sugar level, our body causes the insulin to spike up which has a terrible effect on skin. The increased insulin level provokes increased sebum production leading to clogged pores and Acne breakout.

A 2005 article in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology found strong relation between milk or dairy product intake and acne.Though milk is essential for providing vitamins, minerals and calcium to keep our body healthy and fit but for those who are acne prone, milk does more harm than good to the body.

- Nuts - Include Nuts in your diet as nuts are rich in selenium. Acne is somehow related to selenium deficiency.
